Heidi Klum filed for divorce from husband Seal on Friday, and now the “Kiss From a Rose” singer is filing paperwork of his own.
Seal filed papers on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court that asked for joint legal custody of their children Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.
People reports that the supermodel and Project Runway host had asked for joint physical custody of the kids, with visitation being allowed for her soon-to-be ex.
However, a source tells People that these are just legal steps they have to take in order to get their divorce behind them.
TMZ reports that if any battle were to commence between the former spouses it would be over custody arrangements, as their assets are protected in a post-nup that will divide their possessions.
In January, Seal and Klum, who married in 2005, announced “While we enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching, we have decided to separate.”
They added, “We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart,” USA Today reports.
